Walking Table

Inspired by Marcel Duchamp’s Nude Descending Staircase, the table was designed to emulate the motion of a person walking. The piece of furniture was built as part of a class at the California Academy of Art. Through the building process, the skill of mortice and tenon joinery was acquired, as well as a familiarity with the inclinations of wood as a material.
